Alexandria (Alex) Twinem joined the firm as a Fellow in Appellate and Constitutional Litigation in October 2018, following her clerkships with Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit and Judge Alison Nathan of the Southern District of New York. She previously worked as a law clerk at the Southern Center for Human Rights, the Supreme Court litigation boutique Goldstein & Russell, and the private public-interest firm Neufeld Scheck & Brustin, and spent three years between college and law school teaching English in South Korea.
Alex graduated from Stanford Law School, where she was the Managing Editor of the Stanford Law Review, Executive Editor of the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, a student in the Stanford Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, and the founder and student director of the Stanford Clemency Project. She graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Northwestern University, with a degree in English.
